Jury Duty

Finally got to serve on an actual jury. Of course, they don't let you take cameras into the court room, but, I did get the chance to ride the light rail for a week.

It's that time of year again (well, at least in California).

There's just something about green lawns. They're so artificial, yet so appealing.

It's a maple tree, I think. And, uh, yeah, dust on the sensor.

Deliberation

I usually consider myself a portrait photographer. Not that I'm especially good at it or anything, it's just something I enjoy. But of course, there's so much more out there.

Eating Out

It's not that just anything will go in his mouth. But, when it does, it goes way in there.

Tied Down

He generally doesn't like being held in one place, but, then again, he doesn't seem to have any problems with the carseat.

Popcorn Chicken

Take something--something ostensibly healthy--then batter it up, and, uh, deep fry it. Tastes great, though.

Noodle House

It's supposed to be some popular restaurant in Taiwan, but, they just opened one here, so, we had to try it out. It's popular because it's so good, but, maybe it's not so good because it's so popular.

Birding

I don't usually take bird photos, but, I saw one flying by, so I took a shot. I'm surprised how well it came out, for just a quick grab.

The Usual Suspects

Sometimes they just get that guilty look.

Sophie

Julian is big and all, but, it's still quite startling seeing really tiny kids running around. Apparantly, they come in all shapes and sizes.

Over There

It's hard to tell what an infant wants. They can be quite subtle. Of course, on the plus side, it's pretty easy to tell what they don't like.

Fisheye

Who needs a thousand dollar lens when you can use a 10 cent Christmas ornament from Ikea?

In His Element

Who knows what's going on in there, but, he seems to keep himself occupied (mostly).

Butternut Squash

First "real" solid food. Pureed, and mixed with rice cereal. Can't believe it, he ate it all.

Newborns

Babies grow up so fast, but, it's all so gradual. It's hard to imagine Julian was that small once, too.
